A new gas-fired boiler plant was built at the street address ul. Kopanina 26A in Poznań, on the site of a defunct coal-fired boiler plant. The new plant was built to supplement the DHN capacity in times of peak deman (winter heating) and to offset capacity loss from the main DHN input emergency shutdown. The boiler plant is the southern heat source for the city of Poznań.
CDC was the general contractor for this project, delivering the following task
- Development of design plans and specifications,
- Construction of the boiler plant building with a net volume of 2,948.5 m3,
- Supply of equipment (power transformer, LV and MV switchgear units, pumping units, heating units, blowdown filter units, heat substation, and roof fans),
- Constructikn of processing and indoor systems (including electrical wiring, instruments, and automatic controls),
- Construction of service connections for sanitary sewage, water supply, gas supply, district heating, electrical power, rainwater drainage and data/ELV system ducting,
- Landscaping, construction of car park and access road, and fencing,
- Approvals with utility suppliers,
- Test run and commissioning,
- Development of performance warranty tests,
- Securing official permits,
- Final commissioning of the boiler plant.
The technological solutions used, which meet very strict environmental standards, make the plant extremely low-emission.
